I’m exhausted today. We woke up at 9am this morning – yes on a Saturday – to go house hunting since my boyfriend and I finally have money to move out of his parent’s house. Don’t worry, it’s a Spanish thing and once we find our own house, I will be writing a post on why Spaniards live with their parents until they are 30 years old.
So, besides doing my daily posts – Quote of the Day, Daily Question, and Link of the Day – I just don’t feel like writing a new post simply because: my brain is dead.
Instead, I am going to give you the link to a blog which I follow – one of my favorites – all about animals. Today, he posted some very interesting animal facts which I would like all of you to check out! Did you know that scientists have performed brain surgery on a cockroach?! This is one of the many neat facts he has shared.
So, with no further ado, I give you Spencer Angeltvedt – All of us can make a difference.
Please, check it out as he discusses some very important animal topics, how you can help our furry friends, and simply shows his love of the animal kingdom.
Enjoy his blog and have a great Saturday!
I have this weird obsession with ghost towns. I don’t know if it’s the fact that it would be incredible to explore an abandoned city that once had a bustling life, or having the option to wander the town and create a story in my head of what happened to the city and what it used to be like. Either way, I plan on visiting ghost towns around the world.
So, when I discovered The World’s Ten Creepiest Abandoned Cities article on Gadling.com, I was hypnotized by the photos and the fact that these towns are out there for me to explore!

Even just seeing these pictures ignites an odd sense of yearning in me to visit these 10 ghost towns. The history, while short lived, of each city is quite interesting and intriguing.

Q:
What’s the oddest book you’ve ever read? Did you like it? Hate it? Did it make you think?
A:
I don’t think I’ve read a book that was so “odd” that I classified it as such. However, whoever has read Life of Pi by Yann Martel, can hands down agree that it was an extremely “odd” story – a boy being trapped on a tiny boat with a Bengal tiger; a carnivorous island – but that’s what made it so exceptional.
It really is one of my favorite novels and I’m not the biggest fan of fiction – I’m more a non-fiction reader and maybe that’s why I liked Life of Pi so much, because it was written as if it was non-fiction.
The book is truly a unique read and it really did make me think. I remember being in thought for days after reading that book and every other time I have read it, I always spend days thinking about the book in general and really life in general.
I highly recommend reading this “odd” book!
