‘Ever spellbound as the first marvel; the magic energy captured of an instant moment in time.’
The above line is written on the “About” page of English photographer, Kirsten Leedham’s website. Her photographs, which can be seen on her “Portfolio” page, really do capture the “magic energy in an instant moment of time”.
I just found out today that since June 2nd, and until November 15th, 2011, Leedham’s photography is being exhibited at Sala Mejía Lequerica in Madrid, Spain.
While she has shot in places such as Morocco and Ethiopia, it will be her shoot in Cuba that will be displayed. Her thirty showcased photographs of the Caribbean island illustrates the politics, landscape, and every day life of Cuba. With brilliant colors, captivating subject matter, a cool exhibit name like “CubaFlash”, and the fact that entrance is FREE, I will be definitely attending this exhibit before it’s over, and recommend whomever is in Madrid to do the same!
