Daily Question: Inspiration is in the Person

Daily Question by Thought Questions

A:

People who go for their dreams, no matter what stands in their way, are the people who inspire me.

My top role models are Nelly Bly and Jane Goodall.

Nelly Bly because she paved the way for women journalists.  She did not care that it was a man’s job at the time, and she worked so hard to get a story, even committing herself to a mental institute to report on what goes inside one.  She is definitely someone to look up to.

Jane Goodall, of course, because she stepped into a whole other world that back then, was rare for a woman and a white person.  Plus, she does things her own way even if people don’t agree with them, such as naming the chimpanzees she studied instead of numbering them.  She formed an emotional attachment to the animals, which was looked down upon in the scientific community.  However, look where it got her.  Half of what we know about chimps in the wild is because of her.

And my parents are also people who inspire me.  They have worked so hard their entire lives to give my siblings and I an amazing life.  They raised us well.

  1. There are many who inspire me…and they don’t have to be well known. I find a lot of inspiration in the people around me, those who are passionate and do whatever they do with intensity, commitment and confidence. Also those who can laugh when they fail then carry on the next day as if that failure never took place.
