[pg. 117]  Just as the finish line appeared on the horizon, I lost my balance, my windmilling arms hurled the flashlight to its death on the cement floor, and I unleashed a torrent of pee on my sarong.  Remembering the scene where John Malkovich dies of dysentery in The Sheltering Sky, I reminded myself that it could be worse.


I have one more chapter to read of this hilarious travel book, so stay tuned for my review!
