Yesterday, I watched an episode of Law and Order about a white supremacy group that beat and killed other races. It made me sick, and I realized that this wasn’t just a fictional story, this was reality, and there are really people out there who do these kinds of things.
‘Peace’ to me means a world where everyone accepts one another and treats each other with equality and respect. People wouldn’t kill each other over religion, race, or different mind-sets. Of course, there wouldn’t be war, and the countries would be a world community, instead of individual, fighting continents.
I know we each dream of a world of peace, and honestly, I don’t think we will ever be able to fully achieve it, which is unfortunate. However, we all have our own definition of what ‘peace’ means, and if we actually try to make it a reality, we may be able to at least make a dent.
What is the meaning of ‘peace’ to you?
